Lexis Associates brings together two disciplines that are usually kept apart – litigation and company secretarial practice – under one roof.
Our founding partners combine expertise in corporate litigation, civil disputes, and NCLT proceedings with comprehensive company secretarial services spanning MCA filings, ROC compliance, SEBI regulations, and corporate governance. It is a combination that lets us see a client’s legal exposure and their compliance obligations as two sides of the same picture, rather than as separate problems requiring separate advisors.
Based in West Bengal, with clients across India, we work with startups, SMEs, established corporations, and individuals – online, and at a pace that suits them.

Our Purpose
Founded by two professionals who have each spent over ten years in their respective disciplines, Lexis Associates was built on a simple belief: legal and compliance challenges should never stand in the way of business growth.
We exist to remove friction – not add to it. Whether it is a dispute before a tribunal, a filing before the Registrar of Companies, or a contract that needs a second, sharper look, our role is the same: to give clients clear answers and dependable execution, so they can focus on building their business.

Ritam Ghosh, LLM
Co-Founder & Legal Practitioner
With over ten years of practice in corporate, civil, and commercial law, Ritam has represented clients before High Courts, District Courts, the NCLT, and consumer forums across West Bengal. His practice is built around contract disputes, debt recovery, cheque bounce matters under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and corporate litigation.
Ritam holds an LLM from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and is currently based in the UK, where he works as a research associate alongside his role as a legal entrepreneur – bringing an international, research-driven perspective to the firm’s litigation practice.
Sayani Datta
Co-Founder & Compliance Head
A qualified Company Secretary with ten years of experience in corporate advisory, Sayani has worked with companies across sectors on MCA compliance, SEBI regulations, FEMA/FDI matters, secretarial audits, and governance frameworks.
She brings structured thinking and regulatory depth to every client engagement, ensuring that compliance is treated not as a formality, but as a foundation for sustainable growth.
